Messenger – Prism

Naught means more than

a sweet nightly whisper

wrapping you up tight,

keeping you warm,

succinct,

free from tyranny,

shadows,

which follow you close behind

and cover your lonesome color;

strident, silver, and boorish,

an iris of orange not purple,

beauty,

showered with light,

chorus,

singing your wealth and luck,

swinging from tree to roof;

a rope that enters eternity,

a love that is everlasting,

boundless,

no judge or worry,

adore.

With my pending fifth chapbook coming out on Amazon this month, with the theme of love and adoration, I thought it fitting to post some love poems this month. Look for it to release around mid-July. Meanwhile, check out my Author Central page for my other Amazon chapbooks. As always, thanks for reading!
